Two photographs: the first is a member of the Malaysian team. Alison was impressed with his work and said, although the team didn't win a medal, the piece was strong. The second is of a wild team from the Yukon -- two Canadians and one American. She assured me that the blurred photograph was no reflection on the team itself. In about 8 hours she and Tatyana will be leaving Harbin and headed toward Xi an, where they''ll see the Terracotta army (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terracotta_Army). Yesterday, she and a group of 13 or so visited the Ice and Snow world. Alison hung out with the Malaysian team. Ice slides were set up, and she had a good time sliding down them. She was able to find a charger for her iTouch at an Apple reseller in Harbin. While downtown she stumbled upon a hip-hop school and popped inside to experience Hip-hop, Chinese style. She also did some literal walking on water, in this case the frozen river, where she saw hockey players and various transportation devices. Last, here's a photo of Tatyana packing her tools. They will be in Xi an until Saturday evening, at which point they fly back to Beijing.
